Our Founding Vision & Leadership

Guided by Wisdom, Rooted in Tradition

At Major S.D. Singh Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital™, our vision is to emerge as a centre of excellence in Ayurvedic Medical Education, healthcare, and research. We aspire to integrate the wisdom of Ayurveda with the innovations of modern science, producing holistic healers who serve humanity with compassion and integrity.

We aim to build a future where Ayurveda is globally recognized as a trusted system of medicine, addressing the health challenges of society with natural, preventive, and curative solutions.

Stewards of Academic Excellence and Ethical Practice

Our College Council operates as a multidisciplinary governance body comprising distinguished Ayurvedic scholars, senior medical practitioners, education administrators, and community representatives. This collaborative structure ensures balanced oversight across three core pillars:

Key Governance Commitments

All council proceedings adhere to the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) guidelines and Government of India regulations for Ayurvedic education.

Our Council's Living Legacy

The College Council's impact extends far beyond administrative functions we actively shape the future of Ayurvedic healthcare through three signature initiatives:

The Gurukul Mentorship

Each council member personally mentors 5–7 students throughout their B.A.M.S. journey, fostering the ancient guru-shishya parampara (teacher-disciple tradition). This ensures not just academic excellence, but character formation rooted in dharma (righteous duty) and karuna (compassion).

Rural Seva Service

Quarterly mobile clinics led by council physicians bring authentic Ayurvedic care to remote villages across the region—treating over 2,000 patients annually while providing hands-on training for senior students in community medicine.

Research & Innovation Cell

Our council champions clinical research on regional medicinal plants and classical formulations, with recent publications in the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine validating traditional treatments for lifestyle disorders through modern scientific methodology.
